Cole Palmer has been honored as the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for September 2024. This announcement, made on the official EPL website, highlights Palmer’s outstanding performance, where he topped the Premier League charts with five goals and one assist across four matches.

The highlight of Palmer’s month was his spectacular display during Chelsea’s 6-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. He made history by becoming the first player in Premier League history to net four goals in the first half of a match, achieving this incredible feat in just 21 minutes. His impressive finishing skills and composure under pressure were on full display.

In addition to his record-breaking performance against Brighton, Palmer contributed significantly in other matches, providing an assist in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace and scoring again in a 3-0 win over West Ham United. These contributions further solidified his candidacy for the award.

This marks Palmer’s second Player of the Month accolade, following his first win in April 2024. His consistency has been remarkable, as he has secured two of the last three awards available.

The 22-year-old topped an eight-man shortlist after a public vote on the EA SPORTS website, combined with the selections of a panel of football experts.

Palmer has continued his strong form into October, assisting in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest. Currently, he leads the Premier League with 11 goal involvements this season and aims to increase that tally when Chelsea faces Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, October 20.

As reported by the official EPL website, the Barclays Manager of the Month for September will be announced soon, further celebrating the achievements of Premier League stars.

Palmer was recently named the England Men’s Player of the Year for 2024. Chelsea FC also took to X to celebrate Palmer’s achievement, stating, “It had to be him. Cole Palmer is the @PremierLeague Player of the Month for September.” They added, “Best get updating this graphic soon… ‘PL August Goal of the Month; PL hat-trick against Brighton & Hove Albion; England Men’s Player of the Year; and PL September Player of the Month.’
