Afrobeats sensation Davido has officially announced the release of his fifth studio album, slated for early 2025. During a recent appearance on The Baller Alert Show, the “Feel” hitmaker shared that fans can look forward to his new project next year. While he kept specifics—such as the album title, release date, and featured artists—under wraps, the excitement is already building among his global fanbase.

Adding to the buzz, the 32-year-old star revealed an upcoming collaboration with Nigerian artists Chike and Odumodublvck. The track, titled “Funds”, is set to drop in just a few days and promises to be a standout hit. Speaking highly of his collaborators, Davido described Odumodublvck as Nigeria’s “biggest rapper” and likened Chike to American singer Bryson Tiller.

As for the upcoming album, Davido teased its rich African influence, stating, “My album will be coming out early next year. It will be a real African record.” This aligns with the artist’s commitment to staying deeply connected to his roots. Despite opportunities to move abroad, Davido explained, “I have to stay tapped in because why run away from home when others are running there now?”

Davido, born David Adeleke, first rose to fame in 2012 with the smash hit “Dami Duro” from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo. Over the years, he has delivered back-to-back successes, including A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and the chart-topping Timeless (2023). With his fifth album on the horizon, fans can expect nothing less than greatness from the global Afrobeats icon.
