Enugu State Government Takes Legal Action Over Bullying Incident at FGC Enugu

The Enugu State government has announced that it will take legal action against those responsible for the bullying and physical abuse of a student at the Federal Government College, Enugu. A viral video, which surfaced over the weekend, shows a student in uniform being brutally assaulted by senior students. The victim is seen lying on the ground while the attackers repeatedly strike him with their waist belts, sparking outrage across the country.

In a statement, the Enugu State Ministry of Education condemned the incident, with Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, the Commissioner for Education, assuring the public that the government would ensure justice. Prof. Mbah emphasized that the state government maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against bullying in schools. The government is committed to creating safe and supportive educational environments and will take all necessary measures to hold the individuals involved accountable.
