Enzo Zidane, the son of football icon Zinedine Zidane, has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 29. According to Diario AS, Enzo has decided to step away from the game to focus on family and personal investments. The midfielder, who last played for Fuenlabrada in Spain’s third division, leaves behind a decade-long career marked by 203 appearances, 13 goals, and 24 assists.

Famed sports journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news, reflecting on Enzo’s journey, which included playing for Real Madrid Castilla, Alavés, and Lausanne. One of his standout moments came when he scored on his debut for Real Madrid’s senior team.

Though Enzo is stepping away from the game, his brothers remain active in the sport. Luca Zidane is the starting goalkeeper for Eibar, Theo plays midfield for Córdoba, and Elyaz has recently joined Real Betis’ academy, continuing the Zidane legacy in football.
