Executive Director of the Retail Banking South Directorate at FirstBank, Oluseyi Oyefeso, has reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to job creation and cultural preservation through its First@arts initiative. This program is designed to foster artistic expression and support Nigeria’s vibrant creative industry.

During the stage production of Kurunmi, a theatrical work highlighting the rich history of the Oyo Kingdom, Oyefeso emphasized FirstBank’s unwavering dedication to nurturing local talent and enhancing the arts. “Through the First@arts initiative, we empower organizations to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and develop skills within Africa’s creative sector,” he explained, noting the bank’s vital role in preserving the nation’s cultural heritage.

As the sector expands, it leads to more employment opportunities, indirectly contributing to the growth of the Nigerian economy. That is our primary objective,” Oyefeso stated.
