Governor Mutfwang Inaugurates Newly Elected Plateau LG Chairmen

In Jos on Thursday, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang officially swore in the newly elected chairmen of 15 out of the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) following the recent elections.
The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) conducted the local elections last Saturday, with its Chairman, Planji Cishak, announcing the results for 15 LGAs. The results for the remaining two LGAs are expected to be released soon.
Governor Mutfwang praised the elected chairmen, describing their victory as a result of a transparent and credible process. He also commended PLASIEC for organizing a free and fair election, stressing the importance of the people’s votes in shaping their leadership.

“I am proud to inaugurate these chairmen under the new local government autonomy,” Mutfwang stated, reiterating his support for local government autonomy. He emphasized his commitment to strengthening this system to enhance governance at the grassroots level.
The governor urged the newly elected officials to focus on delivering quality leadership, encouraging them to remain accountable and transparent in their roles for the betterment of Plateau State.
