Jonathan Majors, the actor who once seemed poised for a successful Hollywood career, has reached a settlement with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, who had filed a lawsuit against him earlier this year. The suit, which included allegations of assault and defamation, was officially dismissed after both parties agreed to a settlement.

In a joint filing submitted in Manhattan federal court on Thursday, lawyers for Majors and Jabbari confirmed that the case was being dismissed with prejudice. Grace Jabbari’s attorney, Brittany Henderson, expressed that the matter was “favorably settled,” but refrained from providing further details. She added, “Grace Jabbari has exhibited tremendous courage throughout this very long and difficult process. We hope that she can finally put this chapter behind her and move forward with her head held high.”

Jabbari had accused the 35-year-old actor of escalating physical and verbal abuse during their relationship, including assault, battery, and emotional distress. The lawsuit followed Majors’ conviction in a misdemeanor assault case stemming from an altercation that took place in Manhattan earlier this year.

The incident, which began in a chauffeured car before spilling into the street, involved Jabbari alleging that Majors hit her, twisted her arm, and fractured her finger. Majors, however, claimed Jabbari was the aggressor and that he was merely trying to retrieve his phone and avoid further conflict. Following the conviction, Majors was sentenced to counseling but avoided jail time.

This legal battle came amid a tumultuous period for Majors, who lost his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the villain Kang the Conqueror after the conviction. Despite the setbacks, Majors has made a gradual return to Hollywood. His film Magazine Dreams, which had been shelved after the conviction, was recently acquired for theatrical release, sparking renewed interest. Moreover, Majors announced his engagement to actress Meagan Good at the Ebony Power 100 Gala earlier this month, marking a positive turn in his personal life.
