Kano State Boosts Education with 73,800 Desks: A Step Toward Educational Excellence

As part of the ongoing effort to improve education in Kano, 73,800 three-seater desks were distributed today across schools in all 44 local government areas of the state. This initiative is a vital component of the State of Emergency on Education, aimed at transforming the educational sector while instilling confidence and hope in our students.
The Kano State Government, under my leadership, is committed to providing every child with the opportunity to learn in a conducive environment where they can focus, dream, and grow. This initiative reflects our promise from the 2023 election campaign to prioritize education and create an atmosphere that fosters academic excellence.

I called on community stakeholders to take collective responsibility in maintaining the newly provided desks and renovated schools, ensuring they remain centers of excellence for future generations.
A special thanks goes to the 11,000 young carpenters, welders, and artisans who played a pivotal role in making this project a reality. Their efforts have not only transformed schools but also highlighted the importance of local craftsmanship in community development.
Our administration remains committed to continuously providing essential equipment and facilities that support smooth teaching and learning processes in all public schools across Kano. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for the children of our state. – AKY
