The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) is determined to become Nigeria’s premier innovation and technology transfer agency, as outlined by its Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Khalil Halilu.

In a recent statement, NASENI’s Director of Information, Mr. Olusegun Ayeoyenikan, shared this ambitious vision on Saturday. Halilu highlighted his commitment to redefining NASENI’s impact within Nigeria’s technological framework.

“I pledged in 2023 to transition NASENI products from the shelves to the market, and a year later, I can confidently say that promise has been fulfilled,” Halilu declared, showcasing the progress made under his leadership.

Under Halilu’s guidance, NASENI has successfully launched 36 products ready for the market, including solar irrigation pumps, electric vehicles, and smart home systems. “We are planning to establish a showroom where customers can visit and purchase these innovations directly, making our products more accessible,” he noted.

Highlighting the significance of partnerships in NASENI’s achievements, Halilu stated, “We work together, transferring technology, localizing solutions, and commercializing them as a team.” These collaborations with key allies and Original Equipment Manufacturers have been crucial to their product development efforts.

As he reflected on his aspirations for NASENI, Halilu said, “We envision a more robust NASENI that prioritizes the socio-economic advancement of Nigeria and aligns with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.” He emphasized his goal of not just elevating NASENI’s reputation but also ensuring that its innovations play a vital role in driving Nigeria’s economic development.
