Nationwide police mobilization is underway as organizers of the October 1 protest in Nigeria remain firm in their decision to move forward, despite government and stakeholder efforts to halt the demonstration. This protest, aimed at addressing the ongoing hardships faced by Nigerians, has sparked widespread attention, with authorities stepping up efforts to maintain order.

Prominent activist Deji Adeyanju, a key voice in the movement, has underscored the people’s right to protest and voiced frustration over President Tinubu’s unfulfilled promises to engage with demonstrators. Organizers argue that the issues from previous protests remain unresolved, prompting the need for continued action.
