Police Urge NSCDC to Hand Over Suspected Abuja Ritualist for Investigation

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has urged the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to transfer custody of a suspected ritualist, who was caught attempting to use a woman for a money ritual in an Abuja hotel. The police seek to carry out a thorough investigation into the matter.
Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Spokesperson, confirmed in a statement on Thursday that the incident, which took place at Top View Hotel in Wuse on September 17, 2024, involved an alleged internet fraudster who confined a lady for ritual purposes. A viral video captured the disturbing scene where the man was seen unwrapping the woman, who had been bound and naked.
Ms. Adeh acknowledged that the suspect was currently in the custody of the NSCDC but emphasized the need for the suspect to be transferred to the police for proper investigation.
