Suspected EFCC Operatives Raid FUT Minna Student Lodges, Over 50 Students Abducted

The early hours of September 4th, 2024, chaos erupted at the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUT Minna) as a group of suspected EFCC operatives stormed student lodges in Gidankwano. According to reports, the armed men, allegedly disguised in EFCC vests, forcefully entered the lodges, breaking through gates and doors, leaving students shaken and wounded.
The raid, which lasted several hours, saw over 50 students forcibly abducted and taken to unknown locations. Witnesses described a violent scene, with operatives threatening and manhandling students, many of whom were sound asleep at the time. Gunshots were heard throughout the night, heightening fear as the operatives warned against resistance.
