Toyin Tomato Advises Married Women to Endure Infidelity for the Sake of Marital Stability

Veteran Nollywood actress, Toyin Adegbola, famously known as Toyin Tomato, has stirred discussions by encouraging married women to endure their husbands’ infidelity for the sake of preserving their marriages.
In a recently shared video, Toyin emphasized the importance of women maintaining their marital homes even in the face of their husbands’ unfaithfulness. She advised that women should remain steadfast in their marriages and engage in open communication, focusing on protecting themselves from harm.
Drawing from personal experience, Toyin recounted a story about a friend who, upon her husband’s return to Nigeria, hands him a pack of condoms. This, she explained, serves as a means for women to protect themselves from potential infections, while highlighting the reality of infidelity.

In her video, Toyin said, “I always tell women that no matter how ‘mad’ your husband may be, never think of sending him away or packing out of your matrimonial home. In the future, when your children have significant events, he will beg for you to be there. And by that time, you will struggle to find a single man willing to be with you. Wherever you go, you are likely going there to cheat on someone else too.”
She encouraged women to remain in their homes, continuing to “beg” their husbands while also ensuring their own protection. Referring to her friend’s condom-giving routine, she added, “Whenever her husband returns to Nigeria, she gives him a pack of condoms. The husband jokes with me, saying, ‘Look at what your friend gave me! I won’t use it. She’s just looking for trouble.'”
Toyin also advised men to view their wives as their firstborns, stressing that women often treat their husbands in the same way. “No matter how smart a man thinks he is, he will still be foolish when it comes to women. We only let you see what we want you to see. Between us and our children, we reveal only what we want you to know,” she concluded.
