In a notable development for Galatasaray, striker Victor Osimhen has been left out of the squad for their upcoming Turkish Super Lig match against Gaziantep FK on Tuesday evening. The club officially announced this decision via their website on Monday.

Galatasaray’s head coach Okan Buruk confirmed that Osimhen, along with teammates Ismail Jakobs and Roland Sallai, will miss the match at RAMS Park. The statement from the club indicated that the trio would not be eligible due to their registration status after the transfer deadline:

“Victor Osimhen, Ismail Jakobs, and Roland Sallai, who were transferred after the postponement date, will not be in the squad due to the status.”

Originally scheduled for the third matchday of the season, this match was postponed, preventing Osimhen, Jakobs, and Sallai from being registered in time to play. As a result, Osimhen will have to wait for his next opportunity to take the field for Galatasaray following his debut against Çaykur Rizespor last weekend.

Fans eagerly anticipate Osimhen’s next appearance, which is set to be a significant challenge. Next weekend, he will face a crucial test when Galatasaray goes head-to-head with Fenerbahçe, managed by Jose Mourinho, at the iconic Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
