The CHAN Eagles are set for a significant boost with the return of Ahmed Musa and Rabiu Ali, ahead of their crucial playoff against Ghana next month. Top officials revealed to SCORENigeria that both seasoned players will be included in the final squad to be announced by Coach Augustine Eguavoen in early December.

A reliable source confirmed, “Ignore the previous reports about Ahmed Musa and the CHAN Eagles. He and Rabiu Ali will definitely be called up for the home-based Super Eagles.”

Both Musa and Ali have been in excellent form for their club, Kano Pillars. Musa, Nigeria’s most-capped international player, has been making waves in his third stint at Pillars, scoring four goals. Ali, despite being in his 40s, continues to impress with his performances, recently netting a late winner against Bendel Insurance, bringing his season total to six goals, making him the second top scorer in the NPFL.

Rabiu Ali, who was part of the CHAN Eagles’ semi-final run in 2014, will bring his wealth of experience to the team as they prepare to face Ghana from December 20 to 27. This playoff will determine who secures a spot in next year’s CHAN tournament, which will be hosted by Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya.
