Anambra LG Poll: Soludo Casts Vote, Praises Peaceful Election Process

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has cast his vote in the ongoing Local Government election, arriving at polling unit 002 at Ofuiyi Square in Isuofia Ward 13, Aguata, at approximately 11:45 a.m.

Following his voting, Soludo expressed his satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the election to journalists. He noted that reports indicated a smooth and tranquil process across the 21 local government areas in the state.

The governor encouraged citizens to actively participate in the electoral process. He stated, “I commend the state’s Independent Electoral Commission for their timely start to the voting process. This exercise is a promise kept and sets a precedent for conducting local government elections with transparency and credibility.”

Highlighting the positive atmosphere, Soludo added, “People are voting peacefully here and throughout the state. We are receiving overwhelming enthusiasm, with support for the great work we’ve accomplished. Our party has fielded candidates for all 21 chairmanship and 326 councillorship positions.”
