Bauchi Police Nab Drug Dealer and Store Burglar in Major Raids

Bauchi State Police Command achieved a significant breakthrough, arresting a notorious drug dealer and a store burglar in separate operations. According to a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, the arrests highlight the commitment to tackling crime in the region.
On November 22, 2024, operatives from the Rapid Response Squad, led by CSP Suleiman M. Tambuwal, raided the Tudun Wadan Dan Iya area in Bauchi, apprehending Kabiru Adamu for drug dealing.
The raid resulted in the seizure of 264 pieces of OSHN Diamond Rubber Solution, 19 bottles of suspected methylene chloride (popularly known as ‘Suck and Die’), and 363 empty bottles.

Investigations revealed that Adamu, who resides in the Igbo Quarters, admitted to receiving the drugs from a supplier and selling them. The illicit substances were priced at N300 per bottle for ‘Suck and Die’ and N250 per piece for Diamond Rubber Solution.
In another operation on November 11, 2024, the State Intelligence Department (SID) arrested Ukasha Adamu, 23, for his involvement in a criminal conspiracy, trespassing, theft, and store-breaking. The suspect and his accomplices reportedly conducted surveillance on targeted businesses, replicating keys to gain access and steal goods. Recovered items from the operation included 150 bags of rice, 43 cartons of spaghetti, 20 cartons of vegetable oil, and 42 cartons of liquid fertilizer, with an estimated value of N13.25 million.
