Popular Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky, has firmly denied allegations of bribery made against him by social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.

The controversy erupted after VeryDarkMan released a viral audio clip accusing Bobrisky of allegedly paying N15 million to unidentified officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have money laundering charges dropped.

In response, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, confirmed on Tuesday that the Commission’s Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, had launched an investigation into the claims.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Bobrisky vehemently refuted the allegations, denying any involvement in bribery. He clarified that he had already served his jail sentence and labeled the viral audio as completely fabricated.

“My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating online claiming I paid EFCC 15 million naira and never went to prison. That is a huge lie. I served my full term, and I did not pay any bribe. Please ignore this false information,” Bobrisky asserted in his statement.
