Former President Muhammadu Buhari took significant steps on Wednesday by sending a delegation of ten former ministers to express condolences to Pauline Tallen, the former Minister of Women’s Affairs and Social Development, following the tragic death of her son, Richard Adamu Tallen.

In a heartfelt message conveyed by Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the ex-Minister of Information and National Orientation, Buhari remembered Richard as “a gem and a rising star.” The former president expressed his deep sadness over the loss, as detailed in a statement released on Thursday by his media aide, Garba Shehu.

Buhari encouraged Tallen and her family to find solace in the outpouring of love and respect from those who cherished the late Richard. The delegation, led by Lai Mohammed, included notable figures such as former Ministers of Power Engineer Abubakar Aliyu, Environment Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi, and Niger Delta Minister Umana Umana, among others.

Also present were the former Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo; Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare; Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; Transportation, Muazu Jaji; and Water Resources, Engineer Suleiman Adamu. This gathering aimed to provide support and compassion to the grieving family during this difficult time.
