Nigerian rapper Sidney Esiri, known as Dr. Sid, recently shared his reasons for relocating to the United States in 2023 during an interview on the ‘No Man’s Friend’ podcast. Dr. Sid explained that his decision to leave Nigeria for Houston, Texas, was driven by a new job opportunity with a New York-based company that allowed him to work remotely from anywhere in the country.

“I moved to Houston, Texas last year after receiving an offer from a New York company that permitted me to work remotely from any state I chose,” he revealed. Dr. Sid also noted the personal connections that influenced his decision: “I have family in Houston, and my best friend lives here, so moving to Houston was an easy choice.”
