Edo State residents have taken to social media in a fierce response after the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Asue Ighodalo, labeled former governor Adams Oshiomhole a “Tailor” during a recent BBC interview, while promoting himself as a “Board Chairman.”

What Ighodalo likely didn’t expect was the immediate backlash from the people of Edo, who viewed his comment as both ungrateful and hypocritical, especially considering his eight-year tenure in Oshiomhole’s administration.

The online discourse has been lively, with many users highlighting the irony of Ighodalo’s remarks. One Facebook user pointedly noted, “A Board Chairman who served under a tailor for eight years? No wonder they say school is a scam! Tailor employed you for 8 years, but now you’re talking down?”
