Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, is urging Nigerians to stand firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the nation faces a worrying surge in terror attacks.

In a statement released on Friday, Omokri described the recent wave of violence as far from random. According to him, the pattern mirrors the pressure tactics used against former President Jonathan years ago, hinting at both local collaborators and foreign forces working to unsettle the country’s leadership.

Omokri stressed that the timing and nature of the attacks should not be dismissed as mere chance. Quoting James Bond creator Ian Fleming “Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action” — he suggested that Nigeria is witnessing targeted attempts to undermine the government.

He pointed to several recent incidents, from school kidnappings to assaults on security personnel and attacks on churches, as signs of an orchestrated plan to sow chaos. The aim, he said, is to push Nigeria toward the kind of instability seen in Libya, Sudan, and parts of West Africa.

Omokri urged citizens to avoid emotional outbursts or calls for sudden leadership change, arguing that such reactions only play into the hands of those seeking to fracture the country.

He appealed to Nigerians to support President Tinubu and stay committed to the nation’s stability, emphasizing the importance of unity during periods of national uncertainty.

Omokri encouraged citizens to channel their dissatisfaction or political preferences into the next general election rather than demanding abrupt change, insisting that democratic processes remain the safest path forward.
