Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has made waves by becoming the first British-Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). This remarkable achievement occurred during the “Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day,” where the acclaimed DJ, philanthropist, and founder of the Cuppy Foundation took the stage to moderate the event.

Known for her vibrant personality, DJ Cuppy energized the audience with her captivating keynote address, emphasizing the vital role of youth in global leadership. During her speech, she passionately advocated for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which focuses on quality education for all. Cuppy proudly shared how her foundation supports African students’ education, encouraging the audience to actively engage in the dialogue throughout the summit.

She earned a degree in Business and Economics from King’s College London in 2014, followed by a Master’s in Music Business from New York University in 2015, and another Master’s in African Studies in 2022. In 2023, she completed her third Master’s at Oxford University and is currently pursuing a fourth degree at the London School of Economics, showcasing her commitment to lifelong learning.
