Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has urged the newly elected chairpersons and vice chairpersons of the state’s 16 local government areas to prioritize public service and accountability.

During their swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House in Ilorin on Monday, the governor stressed the need for prudent management, fairness, and responsiveness to the needs of the people, particularly amid ongoing economic challenges.

Governor Abdulrazaq highlighted the significance of setting realistic objectives and fostering teamwork to ensure greater achievements. He also reminded the new council chiefs that they must prove their worth in these roles by delivering tangible results.

State APC Chairman Prince Sunday Fagbemi commended the governor for his commitment to public welfare, assuring continued progress for Kwara. Ilorin South chairman, Majeed Bolakale Podo, speaking on behalf of the newly elected leaders, pledged dedicated service to the people.
