Kano State Governor Dissolves Interim Local Government Committees

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, has officially dissolved the Interim Management Committees overseeing the 44 local government areas (LGAs) of the state.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, the governor announced the dissolution during a valedictory meeting with the committee members in Kano. Governor Yusuf commended the outgoing members for their six months of dedicated service, emphasizing their role in helping the state government implement key policies and programs at the grassroots level.

Governor Yusuf assured the former committee members that the state government would continue to value their contributions and involve them in future state engagements for the benefit of Kano’s citizens.
He further instructed the outgoing committee members to hand over the administration of their respective LGAs to Directors of Personnel Management (DPM), who will manage local government affairs until elections are held on October 26, 2024.
