The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has been awarded the title of “Best Federal MDA in Innovative Use of Technology” for 2024 by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR). This recognition underscores the ministry’s commitment to enhancing service delivery through technology.

A statement released on Saturday by Salisu Haiba, the Ministry’s Director of Information and Public Relations, confirmed that the accolade was presented to Minister Ahmed Dangiwa during the Nigeria GOVTECH Public Service Awards, held on Friday in Abuja. In addition to this prestigious honor, Dangiwa received the “Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer Award,” reflecting his leadership in incorporating technology into public services.

Dr. Dasuki Arabi, Director General of BPSR, emphasized that these awards recognize the Ministry’s exceptional leadership in promoting technology initiatives and digitization programs that significantly contribute to the digital transformation agenda within the public sector.

A standout achievement highlighted by BPSR was the launch of the innovative Online Renewed Hope Housing Portal. This platform, accessible at www.renewedhopehomes.fmhud.gov.ng, has transformed the housing application process for Nigerians by providing a transparent, user-friendly, integrated web-based application for home sales and payment applications.

He also recognized the contributions of the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Marcus Ogunbiyi, asserting, “You all made this recognition and award possible,” while praising the dedicated staff for their hard work.
