Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is set to join Red Bull as the head of football operations, overseeing the company’s clubs, including Leipzig, Salzburg, and New York. This exciting announcement was made by Red Bull on October 9, 2024.

Reflecting on his new role, Klopp expressed enthusiasm, stating, “After nearly 25 years on the sidelines, I couldn’t be more excited to be involved in a project like this.” The 57-year-old departed Liverpool at the end of the last season, concluding a successful nine-year tenure. He is scheduled to begin his new position on January 1, 2025.

Red Bull has clarified that Klopp will not engage in the daily operations of the clubs. Reports from Sky Germany have indicated that Klopp’s contract includes an exit clause, permitting him to assume the role of head coach for the German national team if approached. Klopp previously revitalized Liverpool, leading them to victory in both the Premier League and the Champions League during his remarkable tenure at Anfield.
