Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has officially launched the construction of two separate 2km roads in Bali and Gassol towns, along with the extension of a 33kVA power line from Sunkani to Garba Chede. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity and access to essential services for local communities.

The power line extension, once completed, will connect Garba Chede and its neighboring areas to the national grid, significantly improving electricity supply. The launch event took place in Garba Chede and Bali, marking a key milestone in the constituency project spearheaded by Hon. Jafaru Yakubu Chiroma, the Federal Representative for Bali/Gassol.

In addition to the road and power projects, the Governor’s representative inaugurated a 15,000-liter overhead solar water tank in Bali and Mutum Biyu, further emphasizing the commitment to improving water access. Certificates were also presented to 70 individuals who recently completed training in mining, showcasing a focus on skill development in the region.

Hon. Chiroma received praise for these impactful initiatives, which align with Governor Kefas’s Moving Taraba Forward agenda, designed to deliver democratic dividends directly to the people.

During the event, Hon. Chiroma highlighted the importance of electricity as a fundamental right and a catalyst for economic development, noting its role in powering homes, schools, hospitals, and businesses. He expressed confidence that the new road construction and water provision would significantly enhance the quality of life for his constituents.

The event was well-attended, with notable figures such as the Deputy Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, the PDP State Chairman, and other local leaders, party members, and traditional rulers present to witness the launch of these vital projects.
