Ogun State Commissioner Commends Teachers’ Resilience on World Teachers’ Day

Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, has praised the resilience and dedication of Nigerian teachers in the face of challenges, as the world marks this year’s World Teachers’ Day. In a statement released on Saturday, Arigbabu applauded the tireless efforts of teachers across Ogun State, highlighting their vital role in shaping the future of society.

Reflecting on the theme of this year’s celebration, “Valuing Teachers’ Voices: Towards a New Social Contract for Education,” Arigbabu emphasized the importance of teachers in building the nation. “Your passion, sacrifice, and devotion to your profession are not only invaluable but critical to the success of our education system and the development of our nation,” he noted.

The commissioner expressed deep appreciation for the significant contributions of teachers, describing them as the architects of the future. “You are moulding the hearts and minds of young learners, nurturing their potential, and inspiring them to reach greater heights. Your work goes beyond teaching—it shapes character, encourages critical thinking, and fosters a lifelong love for learning.”
