The Oyo State Government is gearing up to recruit 791 new civil servants, a move aimed at revitalizing its public service. Alhaji Kamoru Aderibigbe, the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, revealed this initiative on Wednesday in Ibadan, highlighting that the recruitment includes 230 education officers and 561 other positions—marking the most significant hiring surge in the last 20 years.

Prospective applicants can visit the state government’s job portal at http://jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng from October 7 to October 11. Aderibigbe stressed that the online application process is designed to ensure fairness and transparency throughout the recruitment phase.

For candidates applying for positions requiring a degree, a minimum of a second-class honors division is necessary. Those interested in roles that mandate a Higher National Diploma (HND) must possess at least a lower credit. All applicants are also required to have their NYSC discharge or exemption certificates at the time of recruitment. Additionally, for roles that demand the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), a minimum merit grade is essential.

Aderibigbe reassured the public that the commission will focus on merit and competence, maintaining operations free from political influences.
