Pastor Adeboye Establishes Visitation Panel to Evaluate Redeemer’s University

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has announced the formation of a nine-member visitation panel tasked with evaluating the performance of Redeemer’s University in Ede, Osun State, over the past five years.
In a statement released by Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, the Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs, the establishment of this panel aligns with university regulations that mandate a performance review every five years. The official inauguration took place on September 17 in Lagos, led by Pastor Olukayode Pitan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT).
Pastor Pitan noted that the last evaluation occurred in 2019, expressing optimism that the panel’s findings would propel the university to new heights. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, viewed this initiative as an essential opportunity for the institution to reflect on its successes while pinpointing areas for growth.
Chairing the Visitation Panel is Prof. Femi Mimiko, a former Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, who expressed his gratitude for the role and pledged a comprehensive evaluation. He urged the university community to collaborate during this process, highlighting that the assessment will cover the period from January 2019 to December 2023, with a report due within eight weeks.
The panel comprises distinguished members, including Prof. Ernest Izevbigie, former Vice-Chancellor of Benson Idahosa University; Mr. Ayorinde Ogunruku, former Registrar of Obafemi Awolowo University; and Dr. Linda Onwuka, former Registrar of the Federal University of Petroleum, among others.
