In a recent interview on Wasila Coded TV with fellow actress Bimpe Akintunde, Nigerian actress Ronke Odusanya opened up about the downfall of her marriage to Saheed Olarenwaju, popularly known as Jago. The actress revealed that her union crumbled due to false allegations made by a close friend.

Ronke explained that the friend falsely claimed she had been unfaithful, suggesting she had left their home to spend the night with a senator. This betrayal deeply affected Saheed, who acted on the misinformation. “When it happened that time and degenerated, my partner later realized that he shouldn’t have listened to the things he heard back then,” she stated.

The actress recalled her shock upon learning of the accusations, saying, “A friend of mine told him that I wanted to leave him and go into prostitution. When he told me, my mouth was left open. Then I sent him a picture; God gave me grace; I didn’t know how I did it. I did a recording of the time and the date, were on my phone for the video.”

Following the separation, Ronke faced significant challenges, revealing that she had less than N10,000 in her account and had to move in with her brother. “I decided this was it. I had nothing; all my jewellery was taken away, and I fainted with that. I was wondering where to start from. I cried so much that day because I didn’t have money to get accommodation,” she shared, emphasizing the emotional toll of her experience.

The couple’s relationship was further complicated by a paternity dispute concerning their daughter, with Saheed initially demanding a DNA test in 2021. However, he later apologized and confirmed the child was indeed his in a video posted in 2022, marking a turbulent chapter in their lives.
