Sonia, the ex-wife of Nigerian footballer Jude Ighalo, publicly apologized to him, reflecting on their tumultuous relationship and offering words of praise in a heartfelt social media post.

Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, Sonia reminisced about their shared journey, describing Ighalo as a “wonderful man” and expressing gratitude for their time together.

She wrote, “Many say I have an aura that’s hard to resist, which makes me cautious about who I allow into my life. It’s always difficult for me to end a relationship or friendship.”

Reflecting on their past, Sonia acknowledged the challenges they faced, saying, “My dear superstar, we’ve come a long way, and I’m thankful for God’s grace in our lives. Even after the divorce, we both fought hard to make things work. You kept your family unaware of the real struggles, knowing it would only cause more conflict.”

Sonia continued, praising Ighalo for his dedication to their children: “I know how much you strived to be a loving father despite family pressures. Your separation from them weighs heavily on you, even though you present a happy front on Instagram. You truly are a wonderful man, and I will always support you, both physically and spiritually.”

She expressed her desire to co-parent peacefully and prayed for strength to raise their children with pride. “I want to take this moment to sincerely apologize for any harm my posts may have caused you. In your line of work, peace is crucial, and I hold no grudges against you. The biggest blessing for our children is having a living, caring mother. We’ve both forgiven each other and learned from our mistakes. My wish now is for God’s grace to help us raise our children harmoniously.”

Sonia and Ighalo, who initially separated in 2019, briefly reconciled in 2021 before finalizing their divorce in 2022.
