“My mind says I’m tired, I can’t do it anymore, but my heart is saying don’t give up,” Adetshina shared, opening up about the emotional and mental strain she has endured. “This journey hasn’t been easy for me mentally and emotionally. The tears, the pain, the trauma.”

Despite the hardships, including a highly publicized identity controversy over her eligibility in the Miss South Africa pageant, Adetshina remains determined. The backlash surrounding her mixed heritage—Nigerian father and Mozambican mother—questioned her place in the competition, but it did not stop her.
