Nigeria at 64: AbdulRazaq Calls for Unity in Nation-Building Efforts

During his Independence Day message, Governor Abdulrazaq urged Nigerians to recognize that nation-building is a shared responsibility. Expressing his faith in Nigeria’s potential, he remarked, “I believe our country is destined for greatness. Together, we can not only fulfill the dreams of our forefathers for Nigeria but also exceed them if everyone plays their part.”

Highlighting that nation-building is a long-term process, he stressed the necessity of collaboration across all levels of society. The governor praised the president for implementing courageous reforms and measures aimed at alleviating their initial effects on the populace, particularly in enhancing food security and upgrading essential infrastructure. He pointed out that these efforts are mirrored at the state level, with advancements in infrastructure, investments in human capital, and various economic and social protection programs designed to elevate citizens’ living standards.
In a show of solidarity, the governor joined President Tinubu and other national leaders in calling for patience and support during this transitional period, assuring citizens that the future rewards will justify the current sacrifices. He extended his warm wishes for a joyous Independence Anniversary to all and congratulated the people of Kwara State on this important milestone. The statement was delivered by his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.
