The Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL) has officially endorsed Seyi Tinubu for the position of Governor of Lagos State in the 2027 election. This endorsement was announced in a statement issued in Owerri on Tuesday by the key leadership of the coalition, including President General Comrade Goodluck Ibem, Secretary Comrade Junard Abubakar, Public Relations Officer Comrade Iniobong Sampson, and Publicity Secretary Comrade Adeyemo Adewale.

In their statement, CONYL expressed confidence in Seyi Tinubu’s ability to continue the development legacy of his father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who previously served as Lagos Governor. They emphasized that Seyi, with his leadership experience and innovative ideas, would build on the foundation laid by his father and push the state toward even greater progress.

CONYL highlighted Lagos State’s pivotal role in Nigeria, describing it as a “home for all Nigerians.” They pointed out that the state’s future governor must possess exceptional leadership skills and vision. With these qualities, the coalition believes Seyi Tinubu is uniquely qualified to lead Lagos.

The statement also reflected the aspirations of Nigerian youths, urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider Seyi as a candidate who can truly represent the younger generation’s potential. According to CONYL, Seyi Tinubu’s track record and his ability to excel in various assignments show that he is ready to take on the responsibilities of governing Lagos State.

“Seyi Tinubu is gifted, qualified, experienced, well-read, and capable of leading Lagos to the promised land in 2027,” the statement concluded.
