Fire broke out early on Monday at Moniya Garage in Ibadan, destroying several shops and causing damage worth millions of Naira. The Oyo State Fire Services Agency responded promptly after receiving an emergency call at 12:27 a.m. from Mr. Adelola, who reported the fire.

While no lives were lost in the fire, the damage was significant. Investigations revealed that the fire started due to the improper use of electrical appliances, which were left plugged in unattended. Akinyinka called on Oyo State residents to take extra care when using electrical appliances to avoid similar incidents in the future.
