Nigerian stand-up comedian Seyi Law has opened up about an unsettling experience in which a gift, a pair of shoes, was being used to monitor him spiritually. The revelation came during a vigil in 2016 when he says God alerted him to the presence of an object in his home that was being used for surveillance.

In a post shared on his X handle, Seyi Law recounted how, during the prayer session, God revealed that a gift he had received was being used for spiritual monitoring. “On the 2nd March 2016, I had a vigil in my room, and as I prayed, God told me there was something in my house that they were using to monitor me,” he wrote. “I found out it was a pair of shoes someone gifted me. My wife took it out and burnt it.”

Before this, Seyi Law admitted that he was skeptical of claims that God spoke to people, but the experience changed his perspective. “Prior to that day, I always doubted people who said God spoke to them,” he shared.

The comedian also revealed another miraculous moment that occurred just days later, when he awoke to a voice telling him to write down what he was hearing. This led to him discovering that his wife was pregnant, a prophecy that was later confirmed. Seyi Law also described how, during his daughter’s dedication, a prophet informed him that the spiritual surveillance had been broken and the person responsible would never be allowed in his home again.

“My darling daughter is my evidence of God being our own in my home. My mother’s mini copy. They almost killed her in the womb, but God said no,” Seyi Law added, expressing his gratitude for his daughter’s survival against all odds.

He concluded his story by acknowledging the support of fellow comedian @OfficialArole, who he says was a key figure in his journey. “To God Almighty I return all the glory,” Seyi Law wrote.
