“I’m Worth More Than €100m” — Osimhen Defends High Valuation

Victor Osimhen has boldly stated that he is worth more than €100m, emphasizing that few players in football have achieved what he has. The Nigerian striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray, made this claim while discussing his recent transfer saga, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Osimhen, who remains in the spotlight after joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli, was one of the most sought-after forwards during the summer transfer window. Clubs like Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Liverpool showed interest in the 25-year-old, but none secured a deal due to his hefty €130m release clause. Chelsea and PSG were the closest to signing the Super Eagles forward before the loan move to Turkey became the final option.
On Monday, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano revealed that Chelsea may try again with a £40m bid in January for the African Player of the Year, although Napoli has denied any active negotiations. Many fans have criticized this price tag, considering it too low for a player of Osimhen’s caliber.

In response to these speculations, Osimhen made his thoughts clear. “I am worth more than €100m. Few players have achieved what I have on the pitch,” he told Tutto Sport. He added, “People have different opinions—some say €15m, others €100m, or even €150m. I know my value and what I bring to any team.”
Osimhen has already started impressively at Galatasaray, scoring twice in a 3-3 draw against Kasımpaşa and providing four assists in his first four games. His performances continue to justify the high valuations surrounding his name.
Osimhen initially moved to Napoli from Lille in 2020 for a club-record fee of €70m, plus an additional €10m in bonuses. His standout performance came during the 2022/23 season when he scored 26 goals, leading Napoli to their first Serie A title in over 30 years and earning the Serie A top scorer award.
