Lagos State’s Environment and Security Taskforce launched a major operation, targeting vehicles parked illegally outside Cubana Night Club, causing traffic obstruction along Sobo Arobiodu Road, GRA Ikeja. In a decisive action, the task force confiscated the number plates of 28 vehicles found violating traffic rules.

The operation, carried out around 1 a.m. on Saturday, was confirmed in a statement shared by Lagos State Commissioner for the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab. A video of the enforcement activity was also posted on X.com.

The commissioner’s statement revealed that the enforcement team acted swiftly to remove the number plates of vehicles obstructing traffic, ensuring the free flow along the busy GRA Ikeja road. “The Lagos State Environmental/Security Taskforce team conducted a night operation, confiscating number plates of vehicles parked illegally in front of Cubana Club,” the statement read.

All vehicle owners involved will face legal action, as the statement indicated, with offenders being charged in court for traffic violations.
