Controversial musician Portable recently advised popular crossdresser Bobrisky, born Idris Okuneye, to reconsider her lifestyle and “repent from sinful ways,” cautioning her not to entertain thoughts of suicide. Portable’s statement comes amid a series of scandals surrounding Bobrisky, including allegations of bribery and prison-related controversies.

Bobrisky, who was released from prison on August 5 after serving part of a six-month sentence for currency abuse, is now facing fresh accusations. Social media influencer Martin Otse, also known as ‘VeryDarkMan,’ claimed in an audio recording that Bobrisky bribed officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with ₦15 million to have charges against her dropped. However, Bobrisky has denied these allegations, calling the audio “fake” and stating she served her sentence in full.

Both Bobrisky and Otse were summoned by the EFCC for questioning, prompting an investigation ordered by EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede. Adding fuel to the fire, rapper Falz claimed in a letter that Bobrisky asked him for ₦3 million to pay for a VIP section in prison, which he declined.

As public pressure mounts, Bobrisky has admitted to battling suicidal thoughts and pleaded for support from the public. Portable, responding to this on Instagram, encouraged Bobrisky to seek divine forgiveness and choose a path of redemption.

In his post, Portable said, “Bobrisky, life is risky. God does not want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. Damn it to any sinner that does not repent. If you die, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you. God does not want a sinner to die.” He continued, “Help me tell Bobrisky to ask God for forgiveness. What Bobrisky is facing now, if he repents, he will enjoy the world.”
