Senate Approves Bridget Oloworaran as New PENCOM Director General

The Senate has officially confirmed Bridget Omolola Oloworaran as the Director General of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM). This significant decision follows a detailed screening process and a positive recommendation from Cyril Fasuyi Oluwole, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service.
According to Oluwole, Oloworaran, who represents Kogi West Senatorial District, was fully qualified for the position, with no objections or petitions raised against her nomination. Senators from Kogi, Sunday Karimi and Jibrin Isah Echocho, also commended her for her professional competence, further solidifying her suitability for the role.

Oloworaran’s appointment was confirmed after a voice vote, led by Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau. In his remarks, Barau acknowledged the thorough work done by the committee and expressed confidence in Oloworaran’s ability to enhance the operations of PENCOM.
