The Office of the Vice-President’s Job Creation and MSMEs Secretariat has teamed up with Nigerian music legend Mr. Innocent Idibia, better known as Tuface, to promote the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and drive job creation across the country.

The partnership, formalized on Friday in Abuja, aims to raise awareness and mobilize public support for key government initiatives focused on entrepreneurship and small business growth. The agreement was signed by Tuface and Mr. Tola Adekunle-Johnson, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs.

During the signing, Adekunle-Johnson highlighted Tuface’s role as a brand ambassador, noting that his influence would help drive awareness for the National MSMEs Awards, the Expanded National MSMEs Clinics, and the Shared Hubs for MSMEs Initiative. These programs focus on fostering job creation and offering support to small businesses.

“The entertainment and creative sectors have a significant impact on society, and Tuface is a respected figure whose involvement will galvanize both public and private sector support,” said Adekunle-Johnson. His optimism stems from the belief that Tuface’s reach will encourage greater participation in government-backed job creation and entrepreneurship programs.

Tuface, for his part, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu’s administration for prioritizing youth and small business development. He emphasized his commitment to using his platform to promote the MSMEs sector, especially to Nigeria’s younger generation.

“This is an exciting initiative, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it,” said Tuface. “By focusing on MSMEs, we can offer young Nigerians a brighter future with opportunities that can transform their lives and communities.”

Mrs. Sarah Ajayi, Deputy Director at NAFDAC, also praised the collaboration, acknowledging the power of entertainment in reaching young audiences. “Tuface’s connection with the youth will ensure the success of this partnership,” she stated.

Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwakile, Acting Group Regional Manager at Access Bank, reiterated the bank’s commitment to supporting job creation and youth empowerment. “At Access Bank, we are dedicated to turning these efforts into real action that benefits the next generation,” he added.
