Actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe recently opened up about her decision to marry Kazim Adeoti, a prominent figure in the movie marketing industry. In an interview with Nollywood on Radio, Aigbe revealed that one of the main reasons behind her marriage was their shared involvement in the entertainment business, which she believes provides a solid foundation for future success.

“I married him because we’re both in the same industry. Together, we’re building a production empire,” she shared. Aigbe expressed that collaborating with someone who understands the intricacies of the film industry would help them create a more impactful presence in the business.

Their partnership is already proving fruitful, as evidenced by the positive reception of her 2023 cinema debut, Ada Omo Daddy. Despite initial nervousness due to fierce competition from established names, Aigbe was confident in her project’s potential. “The feedback was amazing. I was nervous as it was my first cinema debut, but I knew I had a sellable product,” she said.
