Adeleke Commits to Supporting Federal Institutions in Osun

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has pledged ongoing support for federal institutions located in the state. This commitment was announced during a courtesy visit from members of the Governing Council and management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, at the Osun Government House in Osogbo.
In his address, Adeleke reflected on the role of the Ede community in advocating for the establishment of the polytechnic. He emphasized that since its inception, local residents have actively contributed to the institution’s growth and development.
The governor urged that community members be involved in project execution by the polytechnic’s management. Engaging locals, he stated, would foster a sense of belonging and stimulate the local economy.

“It was the positive agitation of the people of the community that led to the establishment of the institution. Since its founding, the residents have played a vital role in its development. We will continue to support the polytechnic and other federal institutions in the state,” Adeleke affirmed.
During the meeting, Prof. Taiwo Olaiya, chairman of the institution’s Governing Council, requested that the governor undertake a landmark project for the polytechnic. He expressed hope that Adeleke would leave a lasting legacy by funding a structure named in his honor, similar to the contributions his family has made to the institution.
