Popular nightlife entrepreneur, Cubana Chief Priest, has sent a blunt warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the continued detention of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. According to him, the president should forget about meaningful support from the South-East in the 2027 elections if Kanu is not freed.

His outburst followed the Federal High Court’s judgment in Abuja on Kanu’s case. He said the ruling has further intensified the already heated political climate in the region, where many believe Kanu’s fate now shapes public sentiment.

In a long, emotional Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest voiced his frustration, saying support for the president is rapidly disappearing.

“As long as MNK is still in jail, you will not get up to 10,000 votes in the South-East come 2027… Only his release can save you,” he wrote.

He also criticized ministers from the region, accusing them of refusing to tell the president the truth about the growing anger at home. According to him, none of them has the political influence needed to repair the widening gap between the government and the people.

The businessman also directed a warning at Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma. He urged the governor to step in and ensure Kanu’s release, insisting that the issue could overshadow any achievements recorded in the state.

“To my father @he_hopeuzodinma… Appeal this judgment and make it right, or get ready to leave the Villa come 2027. The South-East stands with MNK,” he added.

His remarks come as fresh calls for Kanu’s freedom spread across the region. Tension remains high, with many groups labeling the court’s recent decision as unfair and potentially destabilizing.
