The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has cautioned the public against fraudulent online publications falsely claiming an ongoing recruitment drive by the agency. This warning was issued on Friday through a statement by the Assistant Corps Marshal and Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, who dismissed these reports as baseless and misleading.

“The attention of the Federal Road Safety Corps has been drawn to a publication by online platforms misinforming the public about ongoing recruitment of personnel into the services of the Corps,” the statement read.

The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, reinforced this stance, stating categorically that the FRSC is not currently recruiting and has no immediate plans for a hiring exercise. He emphasized that all recruitment processes are conducted transparently and are officially announced through verified channels.

The FRSC reiterated that any legitimate recruitment information will be disseminated through official platforms, including the agency’s website, social media accounts, and the National Traffic Radio 107.1FM. This measure ensures that applicants receive accurate updates directly from trusted sources.

Warning Against Scams

Members of the public were urged to avoid engaging with individuals or platforms promoting false recruitment claims. The agency warned that these schemes are orchestrated to defraud unsuspecting individuals, and anyone who falls victim will bear full responsibility for any losses incurred.

“The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, wishes to admonish applicants seeking to join the services of the Corps, as well as the general public, to disregard the fake and misleading publications,” the statement further stressed.
