Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has approved a N300,000 grant for students from the state attending law schools across Nigeria. The announcement was made on Friday during a meeting with members of the Bayelsa State Law Graduates Forum in Yenagoa, the state capital.

Represented by the state’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Biriyai Dambo SAN, Governor Diri expressed his dedication to improving education for Bayelsans. He emphasized that the grant would provide relief to students facing the current economic hardships and assist them in their academic journey.

Dambo highlighted that this initiative aligns with Governor Diri’s ongoing efforts to support education in Bayelsa and help improve the overall welfare of the students. In a response on behalf of the students, Imomotimi Annabel Godspower expressed deep gratitude for the governor’s approval of the grant, calling it an encouraging gesture. Godspower also thanked Governor Diri for his commitment to the educational advancement of Bayelsans and acknowledged Dambo’s role in facilitating the process.
