Gas Explosion Rocks Katsina Filling Station, Damages Six Vehicles

Devastating gas cylinder explosion at Tamal Filling Station in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State caused significant damage to six vehicles, the state police command confirmed on Friday.
Police spokesperson Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu reported that the incident occurred when a truck loaded with gas cylinders caught fire along the Kagadama-Magamar Jibia Road. The explosion prompted a swift response from operatives attached to the Jibia Divisional Police Headquarters, led by the Divisional Police Officer, in collaboration with military personnel.

“On arrival, operatives discovered the truck engulfed in flames. The joint team deployed preventive measures to protect lives and minimize property damage, ultimately quenching the fire,” Sadiq-Aliyu stated.
Although six vehicles were extensively damaged, the police confirmed that no casualties were recorded.
The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Abubakar-Musa, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident to uncover its cause. Authorities assured the public that updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
