Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has unveiled a proposed N790 billion budget for 2025, emphasizing infrastructure, human capital development, security, and agriculture. Education leads the priority areas, receiving the largest share of N206.6 billion (26.14%) for building new schools, recruiting teachers, and providing learning materials.

The budget allocates N553 billion to capital expenditure and N237 billion to recurrent costs, reflecting a strategic approach to navigate economic challenges. Health is another major focus, with N127 billion (16.07%) dedicated to improving medical facilities and services. Infrastructure projects will receive N106 billion (13.14%), while N74 billion (9.36%) is earmarked for boosting agricultural productivity.

Security and social welfare are also addressed, with N11.2 billion and N9.8 billion set aside, respectively, to enhance public safety and support vulnerable groups.

Governor Sani described the budget as a tool to foster inclusive growth, upgrade infrastructure, and create employment opportunities. Expressing gratitude to stakeholders for their support, he urged the state legislature to approve the proposal to ensure timely implementation. The 2025 budget marks a significant step in Kaduna’s journey toward becoming a more prosperous and equitable state.
